I had the interesting opportunity Friday morning to model for the plein air painters at the Falmouth Art Center. Lovely to tune in, and listen rather than look. The soundtrack of downtown Falmouth on a June morning is of bird song, traffic hum, and the occasional small plane, all punctuated by the hourly toot of the departing Island Queen. Most immediate, though, was the sound of artists at work: scritch, swoosh, slow, fast – the visual made aural. Loved it!
