Sunset last night in Barnstable Harbor over Sandy Neck
Came across this in Ogunquit Village this week. It reminded me of Dry Run Road in Falmouth. You can’t help appreciating the unknown person’s sense of humor, and the persistent positive effect over the years on people like me stopping to take note, chuckle, and wonder about the namer.
Fireworks from the beach in Quissett were easy to get to and leave from, but too far to be dramatic. What was stirring, though, was the Boston Pops concert someone graciously blasted form their car to accompany our fireworks, and the people along the beach singing along to “God Bless America”. I did, too. Happy Fourth!
Among all the flags flying today, this one especially conveys Falmouth on the Fourth.
Red, white, and blue-ing all day today, on this festive and fun 4/7 (fourth day, seventh month). We’re gathering, noshing, laughing, appreciating. So great to be in a town that’s a destination for Fourth of July. Let freedom ring, now more than ever!
